Paola Bianchini, operated in the livestock and milling industries with her own company, namely Tecnoricambi Srl. One day, she decided to revive the Bianchini family’s long-standing business of industrial plant engineering for the livestock and milling industries. So, she ceased her commercial activities and founded Meccanica Reggiana, initially with a financial partner.

Meccanica Reggiana began its operations on May 8, 2017. . From the start, Paola has held the position of sole administrator continuing her father’s entrepreneurial activity. Since then, the company has been focused on the production of industrial equipment and machinery employed for animal feed production, taking care of the whole process from designing to testing.

The Bianchini family has run a historic business in the milling industry.. Indeed, fifty years ago, Paola’s father and uncle started their company along with other partners. As a historic brand in Northern Italy, today several enterprises have got Bianchini mills in their plants.

Meccanica Reggiana, founded to continue the Bianchini family’s long-standing business, is the exclusive producer of a patented portable mill equipped with a vertical engine designed by Paola Bianchini. This machinery is intended for small farming companies to mill animal feed.

In 2018, leveraging its exclusive patent rights, Meccanica Reggiana was registered in the special section for innovative startups.. The patented mill stemmed from an idea of Paola Bianchini’s father during his lifetime. Following his travels in Russia and Sub-Saharan Africa, particularly in Ethiopia and Sudan, he conceived a small and easily deployable mill that could be connected to an electrical grid or a generator. Paola Bianchini revived her father’s project and created a prototype that secured the patent. This mill has continually being updated and improved for potential use in other fields.
